Second Sky: The space between two moments can be vast and yet seem perfectly in sync. Time is in constant flux, but moments of beauty seem to possess the ability to withstand its passing.

The work for this show reflects on time’s relationship to perception. Moments of time: past, present, future and their intersections (time-less-ness). Second Sky engages with time as a historical placeholder of the past, a processing of the present, and a mirage of the future.

Leslie Vigeant, Oregon College of Art and Craft, Using the Western construct of femininity as her base, Leslie Vigeant’s work considers the hierarchies of low vs high, expectations vs reality.

Matthew Drennan Wicks has been both nationally and internationally recognized for his ceramic and non-ceramic based sculpture.  His work discusses a process-based exploration of traditional craft in a contemporary context that highlights specific domestic materials and the intrinsic properties of clay.
