Oh, Cuore Mia!

Ybor City is a living archive shaped by migration, labor, resistance, and reinvention. Artists are uniquely positioned to reflect on and reinterpret these histories. 

Oh, Cuore Mia (“my heart”) is an exhibition exploring the past, present, and future of a historic district in constant transformation. This group exhibition is curated by Tempus Projects with guest juror Jenn Ryann Miller.

Soft opening July 11 during the Tempus Projects summer fundraiser.

Rather than focusing on familiar imagery, this exhibition moves beyond surface representations. This is not an exhibition about cigars, lamp posts, Cuban sandwiches, chickens, or flamenco dancers, unless they are approached through deeper personal or critical frameworks, engaging the forces, stories, and lived experiences that produced those icons.

This exhibition will remain on display through Sept. 17.
