QUAID is an artist collective and gallery space located at 5128 N. Florida Ave. Members of the collective act as artists and curators to bring monthly contemporary art exhibitions. Current members include Neil Bender, Anthony Record, Justin Nelson, Sam Newton, Jenn Ryann Miller, Gary Schmitt, and Chasity Williams. The members of QUAID are multi-disciplinary and use drawing, sculpture, painting, collage, video, sound, installation, and performance in their work. On view: You Have a Beautiful Home features work exploring domestic spaces as a setting for intimacy. The exhibition employs sculpture, photography, painting, installation and performance to recast decorative and domestic objects as metaphors for romance, disappointment and femininity. The works disrupts the conventional ideas of interior space and creates a critical yet endeared commentary of the places we inhabit. The exhibition includes new work by Jenal Dolson, Taylor Finke, Tracy Midulla, Jenn Ryann Miller and Libbi Ponce.

The 2nd Annual Heights Art Studio + Gallery Tour will take place on Saturday, October 20th from 12-6pm. Buy your tickets and pick up map on-site at TEMPUS PROJECTS at 4636 N. Florida Avenue the day of the tour–tickets are $20, $15 for Tempus Projects members, and $10 for children under 12, students and seniors (65+) with ID. An optional bike route of the tour is included on the map. An after-party will be held from 7–10pm at Parallelogram – 806 W Hollywood St, featuring an installation, Take the Truth Back One Voice at a Time, by renowned artist Gregory Green, with a performance at 9pm.
